Bushfire CRC to the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC - a journey in two parts. (#27)
The past few years have been frenetic when considering the future funding of research for the sector, this has been resolved somewhat with the recent funding of the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC. Over the coming 12 months the two CRCs will be working closely together to ensure that the capabilities, the knowhow and the work of the Bushfire CRC lives on in the new broader focussed Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC.
In this talk, a presentation of the successes of the Bushfire CRC will be given by Gary Morgan, CEO of the Bushfire CRC, highlighting what still is to be done to ensure the successful use of the past ten years of research. This will be followed by a presentation on the proposed work of the new Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC, outlining the main research program, the student program and the plans for its operation.
This will present the audience with a great overview of the two powerhouse research centres for the industry, and enables those present to become more actively involved with the use of the Bushfire CRC work and the shaping and conduct of the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC.
