New Emergency Management Direction in Victoria (#33)
Victoria
is on a journey that will broaden out the traditional single hazard focus to an
"all emergencies" model of emergency management.
Reform across
the Victorian emergency management sector is required to deliver better
community outcomes before, during and after any emergency, making the best use
of our strengths and discarding the attitudes and systems that have
traditionally held us apart.
This reform is
built on the foundation of shared responsibility and shared obligation, with
the focus firmly on the community.
